What can you do?

What can you do when,

the people you see everyday you cannot stand,

and all your loved ones are no where to be found,

makes you wonder if they even remember who you are.

What can you do when,

you're outside in the cold late at night,

smoking and drinking to make the pain go away,

but it's only temporary,

and nothing you do can fill all the holes you seem to have.

What can you do when,

all your friends have new lives,

but the world seems to have let you fall off.

Day by day, the pain is for real,

and it never disappears, it seems that every tomorrow is just like today.

What can you do when,

all you have is yourself,

and with all the holes you have,

you look in the mirror and see someone else,

someone you hate, someone you wish would just go away.

I ask you, what can you do when you're all alone,

when the world keeps turning without you,

when you never see a friendly face,

no friendly face but the mangled one of your own.
